Academic Papers

STUDENTS who require editing of academic papers are typically charged per page, with the fee ranging from $4/page for a seven-day turnaround to $11/page for six-hour service.

Advertising, Correspondence, and other Business Documents

COMMERCIAL CLIENTS are billed at the rate of $50/hour, with turnaround provided as quickly as is feasible. Copyediting and proofreading can be done in text or PDF formats. Add $10/hour for work required outside of normal business hours.

RESUMES which have been formatted manually (using the spacebar or tabs to create spacing) require removal of these commands so that copy won't spread erratically when it is moved or changed. This takes far more time than the actual copyediting, and a rate of $50/hour will apply for this kind of document.

For academic papers: We provide downloadable instructions on how to create dot leaders in a table of contents or a hanging indent in APA references. Unfortunately, there are no easy instructions for inserting page numbers correctly.

For any kind of paper that meets one of the following conditions, the hourly rate applies:

• Rewriting at your request
• Long and detailed academic reference lists in the specific style required by APA: sequence of information, capitalization, italics, punctuation, required elements, and spacing
• Complex pagination, particularly if an inexperienced user has worked with page numbering or done it manually
• A manuscript with corrupted tables or other elements that require significant time to identify and correct
